Welcome to the Eiderstedt peninsula. The listed old school in the historic centre of Tetenbüll is a lovingly preserved and well-tended gem.

 

Our two cosy apartments are perfect for family holidays, couples’ weekends or just a trip with friends, with bag and baggage.

 

Single holidaymakers, couples, small families, but also groups of up to 11 persons find peace and quiet from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. And exactly the right starting point for relaxed long walks and nocturnal admiration of the clear starry sky. Enjoy the good sea air and pure nature. And then it’s back to the cosy atmosphere of the historic Old School. In this school there is only one homework: to switch off from the stress of everyday life.

The two apartments

The two refurbished and in 2017 renovated apartments in the “Old School” are particularly suitable for large families, for a multi-generational holiday and for a holiday together by friendly couples, up to 11 (max. 13) people. Take a 3D Tour.

The lower part (ground floor) of the two independent apartments is provided with a large table in the living room that can accommodate 9 people. The big terrace in the garden is also suitable for sharing with guests in the upper apartment (attic floor). Take a 3D Tour.

  • A House with History

    A house with history is something very special! We wanted for nothing in the house - the kitchen is superbly equipped, great mattresses and plenty of storage space. A highlight in the lower flat is the kitchen with the adjoining living room, the oven and the huge table where everyone can eat, play and simply chat together. The division into two flats is perfect for two families. Our children love the house. The playground opposite was used extensively and was sometimes a treasure island, sometimes a detective agency. Our nature highlight was a flock of around 30 storks in the salt marshes at the Lighthouse. We love cakes from the Theatrium and winter groats from "Haus Peters". We spent a perfect holiday there and found peace and quiet.

  • Charming house in a wonderful village location

    Very charming house in a wonderful village location, super quiet. Lovingly and functionally furnished, extensively equipped. A beautiful garden offers space for retreats for larger groups. Check-in and check-out were absolutely uncomplicated and Ingo gave us lots of information about excursion destinations in advance. We had an extended family holiday in the "old school" (grandparents, parents, children and partner). Because of the two floors, there was enough space for everyone, retreat and community were possible. Really great! However, if you have mobility problems, you should be creative 😉 (but Ingo informs you about this in advance and thinks along with you).

    The stay in your old school was really great! It's really big and beautifully furnished. The old flair gives you a completely different "feeling". The furnishings were just right, cosy and decorated with love. The surroundings are very quiet, and the village is small but just right if you are looking for peace and quiet.   • We really liked it

    We really enjoyed our stay in the old school. The check-in went smoothly, the flat was comfortably furnished and the kitchen facilities didn't miss anything either. In the dark days, the flat offers a cosy atmosphere and you can feel at home. Everything was clean and Levke had put a fantastic homemade jam on the table to welcome us.     I would like to give you a little feedback on our wonderful family week at The Old School Eiderstedt: It was dreamlike in every respect and one of the most beautiful holidays I can remember. The two holiday flats are so lovingly furnished and have so much charm and atmosphere that we all immediately felt at home. The large garden is also a dream. So everything is really very, very nice!   • Rural – Idyllic

    Very nice and uncomplicated contact. The AlteSchule offers plenty of space, peace and quiet and facilities for families. The surroundings are rural and idyllic, there are many pretty cottages, a nice café and beautiful sea access. If you want a bit more hustle and bustle, SPO is only 20 minutes away by car. We felt very comfortable.

  • We have enjoyed it so much

    The school is a charming old house. The interior is tasteful, solid and we did not miss anything except a mixer. Mrs. Thiessen is very friendly, she has provided us with garden flowers and jam.. The weather has meant it too well with us. We were very pleased about the garden and enjoyed the shade of the yew tree. In it, we have discovered three long-eared owls, probably young, because from the twilight they made their begging call. They looked curiously down at us and then cleaned themselves in peace. Many many thanks. I can well imagine spending another vacation in the old school, and my friends too.
